Enoxaparin is the active ingredient in this medication. It is a type of low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH).Enoxaparin is a blood thinner that helps prevent blood clots from forming in the veins.
Prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) after surgery.
Treatment of DVT and PE.
Prevention of DVT in patients with unstable angina or nonST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.
Treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in combination with aspirin.
Prevention of blood clots in patients with atrial fibrillation who are at high risk for stroke.
Enoxatroy 20mg Inj 0.2ml (Enoxaparin) works by preventing the formation of blood clots. It does this by increasing the activity of antithrombin III, a protein that helps to inactivate clotting factors in the blood.
Store enoxaparin at room temperature, away from light and moisture.
The dose of enoxaparin will depend on your medical condition and your weight.
Enoxaparin is usually given as an injection under the skin.
Your doctor will provide instructions on how to inject enoxaparin.
Do not stop taking enoxaparin without talking to your doctor.
Bleeding is the most common side effect of enoxaparin.
Other possible side effects include: bruising, pain, swelling, and redness at the injection site; headache; nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; and low platelet count.
Alcohol consumption can increase the risk of bleeding.
Enoxaparin may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
Enoxaparin should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
Enoxaparin is not recommended for use in children.
Enoxaparin is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney disease.
Enoxaparin is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver disease.
