Glimepiride

Metformin

Voglibose

An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows down the breakdown of carbohydrates in your gut, leading to a slower rise in blood sugar levels after meals.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (noninsulin-dependent diabetes) when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.

This combination medication works by improving your body's ability to use insulin and by reducing the production of glucose by your liver. Glimepiride stimulates insulin release from the pancreas, while metformin enhances insulin sensitivity and reduces hepatic glucose production. Voglibose slows down the absorption of carbohydrates from the digestive tract, further contributing to blood sugar control.

The dosage of this medication will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

It is typically taken once daily, with or without food. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water.

Serious side effects are rare but can include lactic acidosis (a dangerous buildup of lactic acid in the blood), severe skin reactions, and blood disorders.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of low blood sugar. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking this medication.

This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
