Enalapril is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.

Enapil 2.5mg Tab (Enalapril) works by relaxing blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and makes it easier for your heart to pump blood. It does this by blocking the action of an enzyme called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). ACE is involved in the production of a substance that narrows blood vessels.
Store enalapril at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it in its original container.
The dose of enalapril will vary depending on your condition and how your body responds to the medication.
Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage and frequency for you.
It is typically taken once or twice daily.
It can be taken with or without food.

Enalapril is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It can cause harm to the developing fetus or baby.
Enalapril is not typically recommended for children unless under the guidance of a specialist.
Enalapril is not recommended for people with severe kidney disease. It may need to be used with caution in individuals with mild to moderate kidney disease.
