Enalapril

An angiotensin-converting enzyme (ace) inhibitor that helps relax blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

Hydrochlorothiazide

A thiazide diuretic that helps the body get rid of excess salt and water, also lowering blood pressure.

High blood pressure (hypertension)

Heart failure (when used in combination with other medications)

Enalapril blocks the action of an enzyme called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). This enzyme helps produce a substance that narrows blood vessels. By blocking ACE, enalapril allows blood vessels to relax and widen, which lowers blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide works by increasing urine production, which helps remove excess salt and water from the body, also reducing blood pressure.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F), away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage of enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide is determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and medical condition.

It is usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Swallow it whole with a glass of water.

Do not stop taking this medication abruptly. Talk to your doctor before stopping or changing the dosage.

Dizziness

Increased potassium levels

Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)

Kidney problems

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may worsen the side effects of this medication. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits before taking this medication.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dosage.



Liver

This medication may affect your liver. If you have liver problems, talk to your doctor.
