Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults inadequately controlled with diet and exercise alone.
May be used in combination with other diabetes medications such as metformin, insulin, or other oral agents.
Empagliflozin works by blocking the SGLT2 transporter in the kidneys, preventing the reabsorption of glucose into the bloodstream and increasing its excretion in the urine. Linagliptin increases the levels of incretins, hormones that stimulate insulin release and suppress glucagon secretion, improving blood glucose control.
Store at room temperature, below 30°C (86°F). Protect from moisture.

Urinary tract infections.

Moderate alcohol consumption may be acceptable, but excessive alcohol intake should be avoided as it can increase the risk of hypoglycemia and dehydration. Consult your doctor.
May cause dizziness or lightheadedness, particularly in the beginning. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless the benefits outweigh the risks. Discuss with your doctor.
Not recommended for use in children.
Renal function should be monitored regularly, especially in patients with impaired kidney function. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
Use with caution in patients with liver impairment. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
