Miglitol

Is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus: Miglitol is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Elitox 50mg Tab (Miglitol) delays the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates in the small intestine by inhibiting alpha-glucosidases. This leads to a slower rise in blood glucose levels after meals.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C) away from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on individual needs and response to therapy.

Typically, treatment begins with a low dose, gradually increasing as tolerated.

Take miglitol with the first bite of each main meal.

Gastrointestinal effects are common and may include bloating, abdominal distension, flatulence, and diarrhea.

Alcohol Consumption
