This combination medication works by relaxing blood vessels and lowering your heart rate, which makes it easier for your heart to pump blood throughout your body. Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that blocks the effects of a hormone that narrows blood vessels. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
The dosage will vary depending on your medical condition and response to treatment. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
Take this medication by mouth, usually once a day, with or without food.
Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets. Swallow them whole.
