Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) is the main active ingredient in most aspirin formulations.Some formulations may contain additional ingredients like binders, fillers, and coatings to improve tablet stability and palatability.

Ecosprin 75 Tab (Aspirin) inhibits the production of prostaglandins, hormone-like substances that contribute to pain, fever, inflammation, and blood clotting. Specifically, it irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, COX-1 and COX-2. This antiplatelet effect is crucial for its cardiovascular protective properties.

Dosage varies widely depending on the indication and individual patient factors. Always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.

For pain and fever, typically 325-650mg every 4-6 hours as needed.

For cardiovascular prophylaxis, the dosage is typically lower and determined by the physician (e.g., 81mg daily).
