Dutosil 50 Tablet Er (Mirabegron) is a beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist. It selectively activates beta-3 adrenergic receptors in the detrusor muscle of the bladder, relaxing the bladder muscle and increasing its capacity. This helps to reduce the frequency and urgency of urination.
Store at room temperature (20-25°C/68-77°F) away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
The usual starting dose is 50 mg once daily.
Your doctor may adjust the dose based on your response. The maximum recommended dose is 100 mg once daily.
Take the medication as directed by your healthcare provider. Do not change your dose or stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
Common side effects include increased blood pressure, headache, nausea, and urinary tract infection.
The effect of alcohol on mirabegron is unknown. It is best to avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking this medication.
Mirabegron may cause dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience dizziness.
The safety of mirabegron during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not fully established. Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Mirabegron is not approved for use in children.
Patients with severe kidney impairment may require dose adjustment. Your doctor will monitor your kidney function.
No significant dose adjustment is typically needed for patients with mild to moderate liver impairment. Severe liver impairment may require dose adjustments.
