Dosulepin

Dosulepin is the generic name for the medication, also known as doxepin.It belongs to a class of drugs called tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs).

Treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD)

Relief of anxiety symptoms associated with depression

Dothepin 75 Tablet (Dosulepin) works by increasing the levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, including serotonin and norepinephrine, which are believed to play a role in regulating mood and emotions.

Store dosulepin at room temperature, away from moisture and light.

Dosage should be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

Dosulepin is typically taken once daily, usually at bedtime.

It is available in tablet and capsule forms.

Swallow the medication whole with a glass of water.

Anticholinergic effects (e.g., difficulty urinating, blurred vision)

Drowsiness

Dry mouth

Constipation

Blurred vision

Weight gain

Dizziness

Increased heart rate

Sexual dysfunction

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of side effects, including sedation and impaired judgment. Avoid alcohol while taking dosulepin.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Dosulepin can cause drowsiness and dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Dosulepin should only be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding if the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Consult with your doctor.



Children

Dosulepin is not recommended for use in children.



Kidney

Dosulepin may be adjusted in patients with kidney problems. Consult with your doctor.



Liver

Dosulepin may be adjusted in patients with liver problems. Consult with your doctor.
