Divalproex Sodium

Divalproex sodium is the sodium salt of valproic acid.It is a combination of valproic acid and its sodium salt.

Treatment of seizures in adults and children with epilepsy.

Management of bipolar disorder (manicdepressive illness).

Prevention of migraine headaches.

Divaa Od 750mg Tab (Divalproex Sodium) works by increasing levels of certain neurotransmitters (chemicals that help transmit messages between nerve cells) in the brain, such as GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), which has calming effects. It also inhibits the activity of enzymes involved in the breakdown of these neurotransmitters.

Store divalproex sodium at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children.

The dosage of divalproex sodium varies depending on the individual's condition and response to treatment.

It is typically taken by mouth, usually once or twice a day.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage for you.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Divalproex sodium can be harmful to a developing fetus. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. It is also not recommended for use during breastfeeding.



Children

Kidney
