Desvenlafaxine

Desvenlafaxine is the active ingredient in the medication.It belongs to a class of drugs known as serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs).

Treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults.

Treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in adults.

Deslift Od 50mg Tab (Desvenlafaxine) works by increasing the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain. These neurotransmitters are involved in regulating mood and emotions. By increasing their levels, desvenlafaxine helps to improve symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Store desvenlafaxine at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Protect it from light and moisture.

The dosage of desvenlafaxine will vary depending on your individual needs and response to treatment.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage for you.

Desvenlafaxine is typically taken once daily, with or without food.

It is important to take desvenlafaxine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not stop taking desvenlafaxine abruptly without talking to your doctor.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption can increase the risk of side effects from desvenlafaxine. It is best to avoid alcohol while taking this medication.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Desvenlafaxine can cause dizziness, drowsiness, and blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Desvenlafaxine is not recommended for pregnant women unless the benefits outweigh the risks. It is unknown if desvenlafaxine passes into breast milk, so it is best to avoid breastfeeding while taking this medication.



Children

Desvenlafaxine is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dosage of desvenlafaxine.



Liver

If you have liver problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dosage of desvenlafaxine.
