Adapalene is a retinoid medication, a type of vitamin A derivative.It is available in various forms, including gels, creams, and lotions.
Treatment of acne vulgaris (pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads).
May be used for other skin conditions as directed by a healthcare professional.
Deriva Ms Gel 15gm (Adapalene) works by reducing the production of excess oil (sebum) in the skin, preventing the formation of acne lesions. It also helps to normalize the shedding of skin cells, preventing the pores from getting clogged.
Store adapalene at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of reach of children. Do not freeze.
Apply a thin layer of adapalene to the affected areas once daily, usually at bedtime.
Wash your hands thoroughly after applying adapalene.
Burning, stinging, or itching sensation.
Increased sensitivity to sunlight.
Rarely, allergic reactions may occur.
Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of skin irritation. Consult your doctor for advice.
Adapalene is not known to impair alertness or affect driving ability. However, if you experience any side effects such as dizziness or drowsiness, avoid driving or operating machinery.
Adapalene is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Consult your doctor.
The safety and effectiveness of adapalene for children under the age of 12 have not been established. Consult your doctor.
