Theophylline

Is also a bronchodilator that works in a similar way to etofylline.

Deripil Retard 150mg Tab (Etofylline + Theophylline) work by relaxing the smooth muscles in the airways, making it easier for air to flow in and out of the lungs. They achieve this by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase, which leads to an increase in the levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in the airways. cAMP is a messenger molecule that promotes muscle relaxation.
