By increasing serotonin levels, escitalopram helps to improve mood and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Store escitalopram at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F), away from light and moisture.

The dosage of escitalopram will vary depending on the condition being treated, the individual's response to the medication, and other factors.

It is typically taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not stop taking escitalopram abruptly, as this can cause withdrawal symptoms.

While Driving or operating Machinery

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Escitalopram may pass into breast milk and can potentially harm a nursing infant. Discuss the risks and benefits of using this medication with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

Escitalopram is not approved for use in children under 18 years of age.



Kidney

People with kidney problems may need a lower dose of escitalopram.

People with liver problems may need a lower dose of escitalopram.
