Treatment of depressive symptoms in patients with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder
Depel 15mg Tab (Mirtazapine) is a noradrenergic and specific serotonergic antidepressant (NaSSA). It increases the release of norepinephrine and serotonin in the brain by antagonizing presynaptic α2-adrenergic receptors, which normally inhibit the release of these neurotransmitters. It also blocks serotonin receptors (5-HT2 and 5-HT3), which is believed to contribute to its antidepressant effects and reduce some side effects associated with other antidepressants.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep out of reach of children.

Typically started at a low dose and gradually increased as needed.
