Treatment of HER2positive metastatic breast cancer in combination with capecitabine, in patients who have previously received one or more chemotherapy regimens for metastatic disease

Treatment of HER2positive metastatic breast cancer in combination with docetaxel, in patients who have not received prior chemotherapy for metastatic disease

Dasatinib 50mg Tablets (Lapatinib) is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that specifically targets the HER2/neu (ErbB2) receptor tyrosine kinase. By blocking the HER2 receptor, lapatinib inhibits the growth and spread of HER2-positive cancer cells.

Store lapatinib at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Protect from light and moisture.

The usual starting dose of lapatinib is 1250 mg twice daily, taken with food.

Dosage may be adjusted based on individual tolerance and response.

Lapatinib is typically taken orally with a glass of water.

It is important to take lapatinib at the same time each day.

While Driving or operating Machinery

Lapatinib may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or vision problems. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Lapatinib can harm an unborn baby. It is not known if lapatinib passes into breast milk. Consult with your doctor before taking lapatinib if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.



Children

Lapatinib is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Lapatinib may be harmful to people with kidney problems. Consult with your doctor before taking lapatinib if you have kidney problems.



Liver

Lapatinib may be harmful to people with liver problems. Consult with your doctor before taking lapatinib if you have liver problems.
