Darbepoetin Alfa

Is a synthetic form of erythropoietin, a hormone naturally produced by the kidneys that stimulates the production of red blood cells.

Treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) in adults and children.

Treatment of anemia in patients with cancer who are receiving chemotherapy.

Darbecure 40mcg Inj (Darbepoetin Alfa) acts by binding to erythropoietin receptors on red blood cell precursors in the bone marrow, stimulating their proliferation and differentiation, resulting in increased red blood cell production and a rise in hemoglobin levels.

Darbepoetin alfa should be stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C (36°F and 46°F). Protect from light.

The dosage of darbepoetin alfa is determined by the patient's individual needs and response to treatment.

It is typically administered intravenously or subcutaneously.
