Dapagliflozin

A sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitor that helps your kidneys remove excess sugar from your blood into your urine.

Metformin

A biguanide that lowers blood sugar by decreasing glucose production in the liver and improving insulin sensitivity.

Vildagliptin

A dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (dpp-4) inhibitor that increases the levels of incretins, hormones that help your body release insulin when needed.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus: Treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar is not adequately controlled with metformin and another drug, or with metformin and a different combination.

Improvement of glycemic control: This triple combination therapy aims to improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes.

This medication works through a combination of three mechanisms: Dapagliflozin increases glucose excretion in urine; Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity; and Vildagliptin enhances incretin activity, stimulating insulin release and suppressing glucagon secretion. This combined effect leads to improved blood sugar control.

Store at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

Less Common: Yeast infections, headache, dizziness, muscle pain, weight loss, increased urination.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Limit alcohol intake while taking this medication and discuss with your doctor.



Driving or operating Machinery

Hypoglycemia can cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience these symptoms.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. The safety of this combination during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established.



Children

This medication is not typically recommended for children. Use in children should be determined by your doctor based on individual needs and risk/benefit assessment.



Kidney

Kidney function should be monitored regularly, as this medication is excreted primarily through the kidneys. Dosage adjustments may be necessary in patients with kidney impairment.



Liver

Liver function should be monitored regularly, particularly during the initial stages of therapy, as metformin can affect liver function in some individuals. Dosage adjustments may be needed in individuals with impaired liver function.
