A sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitor that helps the kidneys remove excess sugar from the blood into the urine.
A biguanide that helps lower blood sugar by improving insulin sensitivity and decreasing glucose production in the liver.
A dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (dpp-4) inhibitor that helps increase the body's own insulin production and reduce the production of glucagon (a hormone that raises blood sugar).
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults inadequately controlled with metformin and vildagliptin alone or with metformin alone.
Management of hyperglycemia in adults with type 2 diabetes to improve glycemic control when added to metformin and/or vildagliptin.
This triple combination drug works through three different mechanisms to control blood sugar levels. Dapagliflozin increases glucose excretion in the urine, metformin improves insulin sensitivity and reduces hepatic glucose production, and vildagliptin enhances incretin effects leading to increased insulin secretion and decreased glucagon secretion.
Store at room temperature below 30°C (86°F). Protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of unused medication properly.
Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on individual patient needs and response.
The medicine should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. Typically taken once daily, often with meals.
Do not abruptly stop taking this medication without consulting a doctor.
Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar): Symptoms can include sweating, shaking, dizziness, hunger, weakness, and confusion.

Allergic reactions (rare)
Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of hypoglycemia and should be discussed with a doctor.
Hypoglycemia can impair concentration and reaction time. Patients should avoid driving or operating machinery if they experience symptoms of low blood sugar.
Use should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless the benefits outweigh the risks. Consult your doctor.
This medication is not typically used in children. Consult your doctor.
Kidney function should be monitored regularly as dapagliflozin is eliminated via the kidneys. Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with renal impairment.
Liver function should be monitored, especially during the initiation of treatment. Caution is needed in patients with liver impairment.
