To improve glycemic control (blood sugar levels) in adults with type 2 diabetes

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. It works by blocking the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, leading to increased glucose excretion in the urine. Vildagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones, which stimulate insulin secretion from the pancreas and suppress glucagon secretion, ultimately lowering blood sugar levels.

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

The recommended starting dose is one tablet taken once daily, with or without food.

The dose may be adjusted based on individual response and blood sugar levels.

Do not crush or chew the tablets.

Take the medication as prescribed by your doctor.

Urinary tract infections

Yeast infections (vaginal or penile)

Increased urination

Dehydration

Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)

Nausea

Vomiting

Diarrhea

Constipation

Headache

Fatigue

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of hypoglycemia. It is advisable to limit alcohol intake.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Dapagliflozin + Vildagliptin may cause dizziness, especially during the initial stages of treatment. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience dizziness.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Kidney problems may increase the risk of side effects. Your doctor may need to adjust the dosage or monitor you closely.



Liver

Liver problems may affect how this medication is processed in your body. Consult your doctor if you have liver problems.
