Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in adults to improve glycemic control when used in combination with diet and exercise.

May be used as monotherapy in patients inadequately controlled with diet and exercise, or in combination with other antidiabetic medications.

How Dapahenz S 10/50 Tab Works

This drug combination works in two ways to lower blood sugar levels: Dapagliflozin blocks the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, leading to increased glucose excretion in the urine, thus lowering blood sugar. Sitagliptin increases the levels of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP) which stimulate insulin secretion from the pancreas and decrease glucagon secretion. This leads to improved glucose regulation.
