Amoxicillin

Dicloxacillin

A penicillinase-resistant penicillin antibiotic, also effective against bacteria.

Treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria, particularly those resistant to penicillinase (an enzyme produced by some bacteria that breaks down penicillin).

Both Dam Cap (Amoxicillin + Dicloxacillin) inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis, preventing bacterial growth and ultimately causing bacterial death. Dicloxacillin's resistance to penicillinase makes it effective against bacteria that would otherwise inactivate amoxicillin.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.

Dosage is determined by a healthcare professional based on the patient's age, weight, and the severity of the infection.

Typically administered orally, with or without food.

Complete the entire prescribed course of medication, even if symptoms improve. Stopping early may lead to recurrence of infection.
