Metformin

Voglibose

Is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows down the breakdown of carbohydrates in the small intestine.

Metformin works by reducing the production of glucose by the liver and increasing the sensitivity of muscle cells to insulin. Voglibose works by slowing down the breakdown of carbohydrates in the small intestine, which delays the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream.

Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be individualized based on the patient's needs and response to treatment.

Take metformin and voglibose with meals.

Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets.

Gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.

Lactic acidosis (a rare but serious condition) in patients with kidney or liver problems.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption can increase the risk of lactic acidosis.

Children

Not recommended for children under 18 years of age.
