Ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone work by suppressing ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary). Drospirenone also has mild anti-androgenic effects, contributing to its acne treatment benefits. The combined effect prevents pregnancy.

Store at a controlled room temperature (68-77°F or 20-25°C). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully.

Typically taken orally once daily at approximately the same time each day.

Start taking the pills on the first day of your menstrual cycle or as directed by your doctor.
