Darbepoetin Alfa

Is a synthetic form of erythropoietin, a hormone naturally produced by the kidneys that stimulates red blood cell production.

Treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD)

Treatment of anemia in patients receiving chemotherapy for cancer

Treatment of anemia in patients with HIV/AIDS

To increase red blood cell production in patients undergoing surgery who are at risk of blood loss.

Cresp 60mcg Pfs Inj (Darbepoetin Alfa) works by stimulating the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow. It mimics the action of naturally produced erythropoietin, which helps to regulate red blood cell production.

Darbepoetin alfa should be stored in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F). Protect from light. Do not freeze.

The dosage of darbepoetin alfa is determined by your doctor and depends on your individual needs.

Darbepoetin alfa is typically given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneously) or into a vein (intravenously).

Redness or swelling at the injection site

Alcohol Consumption

Darbepoetin alfa may interact with alcohol. It is advisable to discuss alcohol consumption with your doctor.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Darbepoetin alfa may cause dizziness. It is recommended to avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how darbepoetin alfa affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women
