Prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) after surgery.

Treatment of DVT and PE.

Prevention of DVT in patients with unstable angina or nonST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.

Treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in combination with aspirin.

Prevention of blood clots in patients with atrial fibrillation who are at high risk for stroke.
