Treatment of infections caused by bacteria resistant to amoxicillin alone.
Amoxicillin kills bacteria by interfering with their cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamases, enzymes produced by bacteria that would otherwise break down amoxicillin, thereby extending the antibiotic's effectiveness against resistant strains.
Store at room temperature (20°C to 25°C) away from direct sunlight and moisture. Discard any unused portion after the expiry date.
Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on the patient's age, weight, and the severity of the infection.
The medication is usually administered orally with or without food.
Carefully follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment; do not stop taking the medication prematurely even if symptoms improve.
