Treatment of infections caused by multidrug resistant bacteria when other antibiotics are ineffective.
Imipenem inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins, leading to bacterial cell death. Cilastatin prevents the renal inactivation of imipenem, enhancing its therapeutic effect.
Store at controlled room temperature (20-25°C). Protect from light and moisture. Discard any unused portion after the expiry date.
