Ezetimibe

Lowering high cholesterol levels (high LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol) in adults with primary hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) or mixed dyslipidemia (a combination of abnormal cholesterol and triglyceride levels) as an adjunct to diet when diet alone is not enough.

Lowering the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heartrelated problems in adults with high cholesterol and other risk factors for heart disease.

Used in combination with statin medications to further lower cholesterol levels in patients who do not reach their target cholesterol levels with a statin alone.

Cgmibe 10mg Tab (Ezetimibe) works by blocking the absorption of cholesterol from the small intestine into the bloodstream. This helps to lower the levels of LDL cholesterol (the 'bad' cholesterol) and total cholesterol in the body.

Store ezetimibe tablets at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Protect from light and moisture. Keep ezetimibe tablets out of the reach of children and pets.

The dosage of ezetimibe is determined by your doctor and depends on your individual needs and medical history.

Ezetimibe is typically taken once daily, with or without food.

Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets.

It is important to take ezetimibe exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Common side effects of ezetimibe include diarrhea, stomach pain, muscle aches, and headache.

Alcohol Consumption

While there is no specific interaction between ezetimibe and alcohol, excessive alcohol consumption can negatively impact your overall health, including your cholesterol levels.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Ezetimibe does not typically affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you experience any side effects that might impair your judgment or coordination, avoid driving or operating machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Ezetimibe is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor about the risks and benefits of using ezetimibe while breastfeeding.



Children

Ezetimibe is not recommended for children under 10 years old. Use with caution in children 10 years and older.



Kidney

Ezetimibe is generally safe for people with kidney problems. However, your doctor may adjust your dosage if you have severe kidney disease.



Liver

Ezetimibe is generally safe for people with liver problems. However, your doctor may adjust your dosage if you have severe liver disease.
