Is a cephalosporin antibiotic that fights bacteria.

Sulbactam

Is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that helps cefoperazone work better by protecting it from being broken down by certain enzymes produced by bacteria.

Cefoperazone works by killing bacteria that cause infections. It does this by interfering with the bacteria's ability to build their cell walls. Sulbactam protects cefoperazone from being broken down by certain enzymes produced by bacteria, allowing it to work effectively.

Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Do not freeze.

The dosage and frequency of administration will depend on the type and severity of your infection, your age, and your overall health. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage for you.

Cefoperazone + Sulbactam is usually given by injection into a vein (intravenously).

It may also be given by injection into a muscle (intramuscularly) in some cases.

You will usually receive this medication for a period of 5 to 14 days, but this may vary depending on your infection.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Cefoperazone + Sulbactam, as it can increase the risk of liver damage.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Talk to your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended to take this medication during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. Cefoperazone + Sulbactam can pass into breast milk, so it is not recommended to take this medication while breastfeeding unless the benefits outweigh the risks.



Children

This medication is not typically used in children, but may be used in some cases under the supervision of a doctor.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, you may need a lower dose of this medication. Your doctor will monitor your kidney function while you are taking this medication.



Liver

If you have liver problems, you may need a lower dose of this medication. Your doctor will monitor your liver function while you are taking this medication.
