Cefixime

Is a cephalosporin antibiotic that also fights bacteria.

It may also be used for certain sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhea.

Azithromycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, stopping their growth and replication. Cefixime works by interfering with the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, which weakens their structure and eventually causes them to die.

Store this medication in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets. Do not use this medication after the expiration date.

This medication is usually taken orally with a full glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.

Children
