Boric Acid

Ciprofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication and repair, leading to bacterial cell death. Boric acid's mechanism is less precisely defined but involves disruption of bacterial cell membranes and potentially interference with fungal growth.
