Cardimax 20mg Tab (Trimetazidine) inhibits the long-chain 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase enzyme, which is involved in fatty acid oxidation in the heart. By reducing fatty acid oxidation, it promotes glucose oxidation as an alternative energy source for the heart, thus improving myocardial energy metabolism and reducing ischemia (lack of blood flow) in the heart muscle.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage and frequency of administration should always be prescribed by a healthcare professional.

Typical starting dose is 35 mg twice daily.

The dose may be increased to 70 mg twice daily if needed by a physician.

Take the medication with food or milk to reduce stomach upset.

Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Children

Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with moderate to severe kidney impairment; dosage adjustment may be necessary.
