This combination medication works by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the workload on the heart. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that prevents calcium from entering the muscle cells of the heart and blood vessels. Ramipril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that blocks the production of a hormone that narrows blood vessels.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep this medication out of the reach of children and pets.
Dosage is determined by your doctor and may vary based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
This medication is usually taken once daily, preferably at the same time each day.
Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets.
