Amlodipine

A calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

Ramipril

An ace inhibitor that prevents the production of substances that narrow blood vessels, also lowering blood pressure.

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

Treatment of stable coronary artery disease (CAD)

Reduction of cardiovascular events in patients with high risk

Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels directly, while ramipril indirectly lowers blood pressure by inhibiting the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), reducing vasoconstriction and fluid retention. Their combined effect provides a synergistic reduction in blood pressure.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage is determined by a physician based on individual health conditions and response to treatment.

It is typically taken once daily, at the same time each day, usually in the morning.

Do not abruptly stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

Headache

Dry cough (more common with ramipril)

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may potentiate the hypotensive effects of this medication. Limit alcohol intake.



While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or lightheadedness; avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while taking this medication.



Children

Safety and efficacy in children have not been established.



Kidney

Use with caution in patients with impaired kidney function. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.



Liver

Use with caution in patients with impaired liver function. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
