Clotrimazole

Clotrimazole is the active ingredient in this medication.It is an antifungal medication that belongs to the imidazole class.

Clotrimazole is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm.

It can also be used to treat yeast infections of the vagina, mouth, and throat.

Canflo Cream 15gm (Clotrimazole) works by inhibiting the growth of fungi. It does this by interfering with the production of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. Without ergosterol, the fungal cell membrane becomes damaged, leading to cell death and preventing the fungus from spreading.

Store clotrimazole at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

The dosage of clotrimazole will vary depending on the type of infection being treated and the form of the medication (cream, lotion, tablet, etc.).

Always follow the directions on the prescription label or the instructions provided by your healthcare provider.

Do not use more or less of the medication than prescribed, and do not use it for longer than recommended.

Apply the cream or lotion to the affected area as directed, usually two to three times a day.

If you are using vaginal tablets or cream, insert one tablet or applicatorful of cream into the vagina as directed.

If you are using oral lozenges, suck on one lozenge as directed, usually four times a day.

The most common side effects of clotrimazole are mild and may include redness, itching, or burning at the application site.

Alcohol Consumption

There is no known interaction between clotrimazole and alcohol.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Clotrimazole is not known to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Clotrimazole is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, it is important to talk to your healthcare provider before using any medication while pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

Clotrimazole is safe for use in children. However, the dosage may need to be adjusted based on the child's age and weight.



Kidney

Clotrimazole is not known to affect kidney function.



Liver
