Cadexomer Iodine

Cadexomer iodine is the active ingredient in the medication.It is a non-absorbable, cross-linked polymer that binds to bile acids in the gut.

Cadexomer iodine is used to treat diarrhea caused by various factors, including:

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

Bacterial or viral infections

Food poisoning

Antibiotic-associated diarrhea

Traveler's diarrhea

Cadomer Oint 10gm (Cadexomer Iodine) works by binding to bile acids in the gut. Bile acids are naturally occurring substances that help digest fats. When bound to cadexomer iodine, bile acids are eliminated from the body, reducing their concentration in the gut. This helps to reduce the frequency and severity of diarrhea.

Store cadexomer iodine at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F).

Keep it in its original container, tightly closed, and out of reach of children.

It is not recommended to use cadexomer iodine during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor deems it necessary. The safety of cadexomer iodine during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been adequately studied.



Children
