Cefpodoxime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death. Clavulanic acid prevents the breakdown of cefpodoxime by bacterial enzymes (beta-lactamases), enhancing its effectiveness against bacteria that produce these enzymes.
Store at room temperature (20-25°C). Protect from moisture and light. Discard any unused portion after the expiration date.
Dosage should be determined by a physician based on the patient's age, weight, and the severity of the infection.
The medication is usually administered orally, either directly or mixed with food.
Always follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment. Do not stop taking the medication prematurely, even if symptoms improve.
