Brimonidine Tartrate

Brimonidine tartrate is the active ingredient in this medication.It is a type of medicine called an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist.

Treatment of openangle glaucoma.

Treatment of ocular hypertension (high pressure inside the eye).

Brimogem Eye Drops 5ml (Brimonidine Tartrate) works by decreasing the production of fluid in the eye, which helps to lower eye pressure. It achieves this by stimulating alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in the eye, leading to a reduction in aqueous humor production.

Store at room temperature between 15-30°C (59-86°F). Keep out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of brimonidine tartrate is determined by your doctor and will vary depending on your individual needs.

It is typically applied to the affected eye(s) as eye drops, usually once or twice a day.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not use more than prescribed.

Burning or stinging in the eye.

Redness of the eye.

Dryness of the eye.

Blurred vision.

Headache.

Fatigue.

Drowsiness.

Allergic reactions (rare).

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid consuming alcohol while using brimonidine tartrate, as it can increase the risk of drowsiness and dizziness.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Be cautious while driving or operating machinery as brimonidine tartrate can cause blurred vision and drowsiness.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before using brimonidine tartrate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

Use in children should be under the supervision of a doctor.
