Individuals with chronic liver disease.

Individuals with HIV infection.

Travelers to areas with high rates of hepatitis B.

Biovac B Vaccine (Hepatitis B Vaccine) works by introducing a weakened or inactive form of the hepatitis B virus into the body. This triggers the immune system to produce antibodies against the virus. These antibodies provide protection against future infections with hepatitis B virus.

Hepatitis B vaccine should be stored in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C (36°F and 46°F). It should not be frozen. The vaccine should be protected from light. Discard any unused vaccine after the expiry date.

The dosage and schedule of hepatitis B vaccine vary depending on the individual's age and risk factors.

Infants: Typically receive a three-dose series at birth, 1-2 months, and 6-18 months of age.

Children and adults: Usually receive three doses at 0, 1, and 6 months, or a shorter schedule depending on the vaccine brand.

Boosters may be recommended for certain individuals, such as those with weakened immune systems.

The vaccine is typically administered intramuscularly in the upper arm or thigh.
