Bilastine

An antihistamine that works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.

Relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (hay fever), such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose and eyes, and nasal congestion.

Treatment of mild to moderate persistent asthma in adults and children 6 years of age and older.

Bilastine competitively blocks histamine H1 receptors, preventing histamine from binding and triggering allergic responses. Montelukast blocks leukotriene receptors, reducing inflammation and bronchoconstriction in the airways. The combined action provides broader relief of allergic and asthmatic symptoms.

Store at room temperature (20°C-25°C). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medicine after the expiry date.

Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist.

The usual dose is one 5ml spoonful (or as directed by your physician) once daily.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Rarely: serious allergic reactions (anaphylaxis)

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption as it may increase drowsiness.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you, as drowsiness is a potential side effect.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant. Use should be carefully evaluated against the potential risks and benefits.



Children

Use only as prescribed by a doctor for children. Specific age restrictions may apply.



Kidney

Patients with kidney disease should consult their doctor before using.
