Clavulanic Acid

A beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects cefadroxil from inactivation by certain bacteria.

Bacterial infections of the respiratory tract (e.g., sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia)

Skin and skin structure infections (e.g., cellulitis, impetigo)

Ear infections (e.g., otitis media)

Urinary tract infections (e.g., cystitis, pyelonephritis)

Other infections (e.g., gonorrhea, bone and joint infections)

Cefadroxil works by preventing bacteria from forming cell walls, which are essential for their survival. Clavulanic acid protects cefadroxil from being broken down by certain bacteria, making it more effective against these resistant strains.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Dosage is determined by your doctor based on your age, weight, and the severity of your infection.

Take the medication exactly as prescribed. Do not stop taking it early, even if you feel better.

Take the medication with a full glass of water.

You can take the medication with or without food.
