An ace inhibitor (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor) that helps relax blood vessels.
A thiazide diuretic that helps your body get rid of excess salt and water.
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), often in patients who haven't responded adequately to monotherapy.
May be used alone or in combination with other medications to control blood pressure.
Benazepril blocks the ACE enzyme, preventing the formation of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. Hydrochlorothiazide increases urine output, reducing blood volume and blood pressure. The combination provides a synergistic effect, lowering blood pressure more effectively than either drug alone.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after its expiration date.
Dosage should be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Do not change your dose or stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
Take the medication at the same time each day, usually once daily, with or without food.

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption, as it can exacerbate the blood pressure-lowering effects of the medication.
Caution is advised, especially at the beginning of treatment or after a dose increase, as dizziness and lightheadedness can occur.
This medication is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant or plan to breastfeed.
Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
This medication should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Kidney function monitoring may be necessary.
