Bempedoic Acid

Is the active ingredient in the medication.

Bempedoic acid is used along with diet and exercise to lower high cholesterol (high LDL or 'bad' cholesterol) in adults with high cholesterol who have not been able to lower their cholesterol enough with diet and exercise alone.

It is also used to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart problems in people with high cholesterol who have already had a heart attack or stroke.

Bempedoic acid is a type of medication called a cholesterollowering drug.

Bempeday 180mg Tab (Bempedoic Acid) works by lowering the production of cholesterol in the liver. It does this by blocking the enzyme that makes cholesterol.

Store bempedoic acid at room temperature, between 68°F and 77°F (20°C and 25°C). Keep it away from light and moisture. Store it in its original container.

The usual dose of bempedoic acid is 180 mg once a day, taken with or without food.

Your doctor will determine the best dosage for you based on your individual needs and medical history.

Take bempedoic acid exactly as your doctor prescribes. Do not take more or less than the recommended dose or take it more often than prescribed.

The most common side effects of bempedoic acid include muscle aches, diarrhea, and constipation.

Some people may also experience side effects such as:

Nausea

Vomiting

Headache

Dizziness

Fatigue

Rash

Alcohol Consumption

It is recommended to avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking bempedoic acid.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Bempedoic acid may cause dizziness or fatigue. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It is not known if bempedoic acid is safe to use during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking bempedoic acid.



Children

Bempedoic acid is not recommended for use in children.



Kidney

Bempedoic acid may be less effective or may cause more side effects in people with kidney problems. Talk to your doctor before taking bempedoic acid if you have kidney problems.



Liver

Bempedoic acid may be less effective or may cause more side effects in people with liver problems. Talk to your doctor before taking bempedoic acid if you have liver problems.
