Insulin glargine is a synthetic (man-made) form of human insulin.It's a long-acting insulin analog, meaning it works for a longer duration than regular insulin.

Basalog 100iu Inj 5ml (Insulin Glargine) works by mimicking the natural insulin produced by the pancreas. It helps glucose (sugar) enter cells for energy production, lowering blood sugar levels.
Store insulin glargine in the refrigerator (36-46°F/2-8°C).
Do not freeze it.
Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat.
Once opened, it can be stored at room temperature (up to 86°F/30°C) for up to 28 days.
Discard any unused insulin after 28 days.
Insulin glargine is injected under the skin (subcutaneously).
The dosage is individualized and determined by your doctor.
It is usually injected once daily, at the same time each day.
Inject it into different sites each time to prevent lipodystrophy (skin changes at the injection site).
Do not mix insulin glargine with other insulins.
