Cefpodoxime

Proxetil is a cephalosporin antibiotic that fights bacteria.

Bacterial infections of the ears, nose, throat, sinuses, skin, and urinary tract.

Pneumonia (lung infection)

Bronchitis (inflammation of the airways).

Cefpodoxime proxetil stops bacteria from forming cell walls, which is essential for their survival. Clavulanate potassium prevents certain bacteria from breaking down cefpodoxime, allowing it to work effectively.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage will be determined by your doctor based on your age, weight, and the severity of your infection.

It is usually given orally (by mouth) in liquid form, with or without food.

Follow the instructions on the prescription label carefully.

Do not stop taking the medication before finishing the full course prescribed by your doctor, even if you feel better.
