Azelnidipine

Azelnidipine is a calcium channel blocker prescribed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

Azovas 8mg Tab (Azelnidipine) works by relaxing the blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure. It does this by blocking the entry of calcium into the smooth muscle cells in the blood vessel walls.

Store azelnidipine tablets at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep them out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of azelnidipine will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and medical condition.

It is typically taken once daily with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Swallow it whole with water.

Common side effects include headache, dizziness, fatigue, swelling in the ankles or feet, and flushing.

Serious side effects are rare but can include: chest pain, irregular heartbeat, and allergic reactions.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking azelnidipine, as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Azelnidipine can cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Talk to your doctor before taking azelnidipine if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant.



Children

Azelnidipine is not recommended for use in children.



Kidney

Your doctor may adjust your dosage if you have kidney problems.



Liver

Your doctor may adjust your dosage if you have liver problems.
