Azithromycin

Azithromycin is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of antibiotics called macrolides.

Azitor 10mg Tab (Azithromycin) works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It does this by binding to the ribosomes of bacteria, which are responsible for protein synthesis. This disrupts the bacteria's ability to produce essential proteins, ultimately leading to their death.

Store Azithromycin at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F), away from direct sunlight and moisture.

The dosage of Azithromycin will vary depending on the type of infection being treated, the patient's age, and other factors.

It is typically taken once daily, with or without food.

The medication is usually taken for a short duration, typically 3 to 5 days.
