Azelaic Acid

Azelaic acid is the active ingredient in the medication.It is a dicarboxylic acid that occurs naturally in grains like wheat, rye, and barley.Azelaic acid is available in various formulations, including creams, gels, and foams, for topical application.

Treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris (pimples).

Reduction of redness and inflammation associated with acne.

Treatment of rosacea, a skin condition causing redness, bumps, and visible blood vessels on the face.

Aziderm 20% Cream 15gm (Azelaic Acid) works by reducing the growth of bacteria that contribute to acne, inhibiting the production of inflammatory substances, and preventing the buildup of dead skin cells that clog pores.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Apply the medication as directed by your doctor.

Typically, a thin layer is applied to the affected areas of the skin twice daily.

Follow the prescribed duration of treatment.

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.

Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the medication.

Mild skin irritation, dryness, or redness.

Stinging or burning sensation upon application.

Skin discoloration (temporary).

Contact dermatitis (allergic reaction).
